How to Add URLs to Search Engines With Article Writing

Friday, October 5, 2012

There are many ways to get your website indexed by the search engines. Here are some examples.
1) Use the online submission form - The form is available publicly. Anyone can submit a URL. However, there is no guarantee that the URL will be accepted.
2) Web directory submissions - Web directories exist purely to list URLs. When your URL is listed in the web directories, search engines will find the links and visit your website.
3) Article writing - This is my favorite method to get a site indexed in the search results. I like this promotional method because it supports natural link building.
As you know, search engines always like fresh content that is original. So these web pages are highly regarded from the perspective of the search engines.
What I do is to write an article with a length of at least 450 words (most article directories require your articles to contain at least this number of words). With each article, I include 2 links at the end of the article.
I then submit the article to well established article directories. For manual submissions, I submit to about 10 directories and I stop. Manual submissions can be rather time consuming. However, you may wish to use submission software to help you out. Some software submit to as many as several hundred article directories.
The more sites you submit your content to, the higher the chance of being published. Once your articles are approved, they will appear on the websites. Search bots will then visit the content and find your links.
Your URLs are added to the search engines!
